What are the Workshop objectives and WHO should attend?

The objective for this 9 hour, one day Workshop, complete with comprehensive workbook and a personalized certificate of achievement, is three-fold:

  1. New Employees : To help train and retain new employees by acclimating and transitioning them into their medical environment and providing them with the necessary tools to succeed.

  2. Office Managers : To help practices and current office managers develop a comprehensive training program for current and new staff people that can be used each time the practice adds staff.

  3. Doctors : To help doctors understand the training process and what their role should be.

What is the Workshop Schedule?

  • 7:30am - Registration and Continental Breakfast
  • 8:00am - Program Begins Promptly
  • 10:00am - Mid Morning Break
  • 12:00pm - Working Lunch
  • 2:30pm - Afternoon Break
  • 5:00pm - Program Ends

What are the credentials of the Workshop Instructor?

The Workshop has been personally developed and is taught by Lynn Homisak, PRT. Lynn has an extensive podiatric background ranging from a certified podiatric medical assistant, receptionist, biller and office manager in both east and west coast practices. She is owner of SOS Healthcare Management Solutions, podiatry's leading podiatric practice management consulting and educational company.

Lynn helped open the doors to assistant members of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and was the only assistant to serve on the Board of Trustees from 2001-2008 and as Vice President. She has moved through the executive chairs to her Presidency within the American Society of Podiatric Medical Assistants and served on the APMA Physicians Recovery Network Committee for 8 years.

Lynn has a certificate in Human Resources Management from the Cornell University School of Business. In 1997, she co-developed and taught a formal introductory course curriculum for podiatric medical assistants at the Mercer County Vo-Tech/Community College in Trenton, NJ.

She is a frequent contributor and regular columnist to podiatric publications, authoring many articles on staff and practice management. In February, 2010 she was appointed as a Consulting Editor for Podiatry Management Magazine. She lectures regularly at regional, state and national seminars nationwide to both assistants and doctors.

Lynn was recently inducted into Podiatry Management's Hall of Fame and was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 APMA Meeting in Seattle.

What is the fee for these Workshops and what is included?
There are two tuition levels:

  • The tuition for one person from one office is $299.
  • A reduced rate of $249/pp is offered to each additional attendee from the same office.

Our program provides each registrant with a comprehensive 100+ page workbook that offers documentation for everything presented. The workbook is a valuable reference guide for the attendee, and also becomes a tool for new employees. A number of management/efficiency forms (discussed during the workshop) are also distributed.

For a limited time, each office receives the illustrated x-ray manual, written by Joan Cox, PMAC.

Tuition includes nutrition - a healthy working lunch and refreshing morning and afternoon breaks.

A personalized certificate is presented to attendees completing this program to proudly display in your office, recognizing their elevated knowledge, confidence and professionalism.
